Barbecue Sauce
During the warm summer months, many of us will be cooking outside on barbecue grills. I do it on my back porch using an electric grill. It's not as messy as charcoal - it's a lot cleaner. I also have an electric smoker that I use to smoke meat with chunks of hickory wood to provide the smoke. Almost anybody can cook meat outside, but few have a great recipe to make homemade barbecue sauce. You now have one, if you follow the recipe. For those of you that might like it spicier, add chili peppers to it. Just remember, don't add too much because it cannot be remove.

1/2 box brown sugar

1-1/2 tablespoons paprika

1/2 tablespoon salt

1 tablespoon garlic

1 teaspoon ginger

1/2 teaspoon red pepper (add more for your taste)

64-oz catsup

1-1/2 cups Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup vinegar

1/8 cup dry mustard

2 tablespoons liquid smoke

2 bay leaves

Simmer 1 hour
