Noah's Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits
Preheat oven to 450 degrees:
2 cups Pioneer Buttermilk Biscuit Mix or self-rising flour
1/4 cup Crisco shortening
About 3/4 cup of buttermilk
Place flour in mixing bowl. Add Crisco, and buttermilk. Mix with hand and kneed for about 3 minutes. Add more buttermilk if needed. If it's too soft, add more flour.
Turn dough onto a floured surface; kneed 3 or 4 more times. Roll to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 1-1/2-inch biscuit cutter or water glass. Place on baking sheet and bake at 450 degrees for about 10 minutes.
Yield: about 2 dozen.
