If you don't know whom to vote for - read my opinions

It will be only weeks rather than months before we see the light at the end of the tunnel. To be exact, it will be on Nov. 2. That will be the day that George W. Bush will start packing his belongings for his move back to Crawford , Texas on Jan. 20, 2005 .

Most who lived in the White House have felt a sense of accomplishment when they know they have made our country better after four years, but Bush comes away empty-handed with nothing to brag about. He will be imbedded in history for ordering our armed forces to invade Iraq , an innocent country that did not cause the 9/11/01 tragedy.

More than a thousand young Americans have been killed, about 6,000 have been wounded, some have no legs, arms, eyes, etc. About 14,000 women and children of Iraq have been slaughtered. And George W. Bush says, “Bring them on.”

Most presidents know the name of the enemy leader before engaging in war. George W. Bush said that Iraqi President Saddam Hussein was the right man and Iraq was his target. Bush was successful in his con job to members of Congress and some American people that it was necessary to invade Iraq . Many believed him when he said that Saddam had WMD and the missiles to launch these weapons. He went on to say that we have to get him and destroy the WMD. Bush lied. No WMD could be found. Bush also convinced many that Iraq was part of the 9/11/01 tragedy.

Most of the world knows, with the exception of George W. Bush, that Osama bin Laden and the Al Queda thugs are the leaders who brought disaster to the United States on 9/11/01. Their headquarters were in Afghanistan – perhaps they are still there, but we don't hear Bush mentioning their names. If Bush had not made the mistake of invading Iraq.  If only 25 percent of the $200 billion that has been wasted in Iraq and used only 25 percent of our military personnel and war weapons that were used in Iraq , the two men responsible for 9/11/01 would have been captured or dead several months ago.

Both George W. Bush and Dick Cheney were very successful in avoiding the Vietnam War, yet they have spent millions of dollars crucifying John Kerry's Vietnam War record to the American people. Kerry was awarded a Silver and a Bronze Star for heroism while serving in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam . Kerry could have avoided the war like Bush and Cheney, but he chose to volunteer to go there – not one time, but two times.

On the domestic front with Bush's misguided leadership: When George W. Bush moved into the White House after five justices of the U.S. Supreme Court appointed him president, he found a big surplus of money that was left by President Bill Clinton. No other president in history left more. Clinton left Bush with a balanced budget and much money had been used to reduce the national debt that Reagan/Bush made two decades ago.

Bush gave all the surplus money away and called it a tax refund. Most of it went to his rich friends. We now have a $400 billion deficit. At the end of the year it will be $1 trillion. In 2003, American taxpayers spent $318 billion just on the interest of our national debt. And $4 trillion of that debt was made by the Reagan and Bush, Sr., administration about two decades ago.

During the Great Depression, Herbert Hoover finished his term with job losses. George W. Bush has lost 913,000 jobs up to this time. President Clinton found 22 million new jobs for the American people.

On the home front with the misguided leadership of George W. Bush: I can say one word and it will tell the whole store … “DANGER.” We are in much danger and it will only get worse as long as Bush squats in the White House. He managed to stir up a hornet's nest by invaded Iraq . He now has no friends throughout the world. The world leaders have no respect for George W. Bush. Many foreign people in the world enjoy killing Americans anyway they can. This was not the case when President Clinton left office after serving two terms.

Five justices of the U.S. Supreme Court gave George W. Bush his job, and if we don't vote him out of office on Nov. 2, the gold at Ft. Knox will not be safe with another four years of Bush.

It will be only a few weeks until the General Election on Nov. 2. Please cast your vote for John Kerry. We know what Bush has done and most of us don't like it. Our nation will be a third world country if Bush hangs around another four years.

Hurricane Ivan was all terrible

This devil came to visit us and left thousands homeless and dozens dead.

Two days before Ivan departed the Gulf of Mexico and made the beachhead landing at Gulf Shores, Ala. – just about 30 miles west of my home in Gulf Breeze, Fla., I hauled ass and headed north, and I was as safe as the gold at Ft. Knox.

Upon returning home six days later, I found my home with minimum damage, compared to other homes.

I believe it will cost $5,000 to make my home as good as new. However, I did lose lots of trees, and at my age I will not see new trees as old as they were – about 40 years old.

I have personally viewed cities and places in war zones, but I have never seen as much damage to innocent Americans as Ivan caused. However, since Ivan departed, I've seen good American citizens of almost every state visit us, bringing necessities that will aid the needy, helping them to live through another day. They brought ice and fresh water to drink, Ready-to-Eat meals - like the ones our military personnel eat - and these kind Americans came to our homes to remove trees, patch roofs, etc.

It has been said that a cat has 9-lives. I believe I used up all my 9-lives many years ago, and I feel that God has blessed me once again. I will always be thankful to God for allowing me to survive in good health.
